Out of Patients EP410: D.A.M.M. Good Trouble: Ann Marie Morse

Dr. Anne Marie Morse showed up to the studio like she was headlining her own off-Broadway neurology musical—and I mean that as a compliment. She’s a pediatric neurologist, sleep medicine badass, narcolepsy whisperer, and founder of DAMM Good Sleep. She's also a full-throttle Italian Jersey girl who speaks faster than I do and makes more sense doing it.
I wanted her on *Out of Patients* because sleep is still treated like an optional feature in our healthcare system. Like power windows. And nobody calls out the BS louder—or funnier—than she does. We talked apnea, naps, co-sleeping, melatonin abuse, and why “sleep hygiene” is the flossing advice of neurology. Also: airport nap pods, Carl Sagan, the DeLorean, and why LEGO can go screw for creating foot torture disguised as a toy.
She said it best: sleep isn’t a side effect of living. It’s the main character.
If you think feeling tired all the time is normal, you’re wrong. If your doctor gave you three minutes of advice and a brochure, they’re wrong. If your mattress is older than your car, you’re in trouble.
This episode is funny, raw, and full of truth bombs. Listen while awake.
