Patient advocacy is essential!

Matt Zachary is an extraordinary communicator who effectively translates the often way-too-complicated health care terrain in a manner that resonates no matter the audience. Shining a spotlight on crucial issues, he and his guests are informative and deeply passionate about the subject matter.

Fun, informative, helpful

Matthew’s podcast is always fun to listen to while bringing light to such an important topic. The episodes include so many amazing people from the cancer world. Plus most of the time you get a good nostalgic 80s or 90s reference.

You need this in your life!

This podcast absolutely belongs on your 'top shelf' of podcasts! What I appreciate most is the ‘real’ factor here…real conversations, real personalities, and so many stories that inform and inspire by way of an invigorating exploration into the healthcare world, and delightfully far beyond. Listening to Matthew and his guests is like sitting down to a beer with new friends, and coming away with a better mind and spirit because of it!

Dynamic & heart felt

Authentic and Paradigm-Shifting are Understatements!

MZ has an entirely unique way of making difficult or polarizing topics accessbile to anyone from any walk of life. Out of Patients is a show that everyone-cancer survivor, loved one, healthy one, sick one, academic, tradesman, healthcare worker, artist, etc-... NEEDS to subscribe to. It makes the difficult digestible, it brings realworld experts together to talk and innovate. If we all want to see a measurable improvment in research, healthcare and patient access, then we need to start making these difficult topics mainstream to find common ground. THIS is what the world needs right now!

Phenomenal

Just listened to Frenetic Genius and Double Champion Jamie Wells, MD, It was inspiring, brilliantly executed, and thoughtful. The comradely felt by the listeners gave the interview a very relatable tone. Love the information given and the questions asked. Fantastic podcast!

A unique approach!

Matthew’s expert (and often hilarious) engagement with an incredible line-up of guests from all areas of healthcare and beyond is such a unique and enjoyable listen, I cant recommend it enough. Informative and Much Needed Podcast

Matthew has created a podcast that focuses on the patient’s perspective on healthcare. He also has experts on the show to explain issues that we are facing today. I’m in my 20’s and never really payed much attention to the healthcare system until now of course. This podcast has helped me understand not only how to navigate through the healthcare system, but also about the patient advocates that work to improve it. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend!

What a ride!

Tremendously refreshing perspective from a truly authentic individual. Matthew, through his compassion for humankind, dives into topics so relevant to anyone being “processed” through the healthcare system. Having experienced the limitations and challenges of our current healthcare system after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma in his 20s, Matthew takes on the world looking to empower current and future patients to take charge of their own healthcare journey. Matt’s ability to connect with the audience should also be highlighted as on more than one occasion I have found myself laughing and crying at the same time.

Regardless of where you are in your journey through the healthcare system, Matthew Zachary and this podcast should be required listening! MZ has the incredible and unique ability to make difficult conversations entertaining to listen to, while making the uncomfortable topics fair territory for honest, authentic and insightful exploration from someone who's actually lived it. Can't recommend MZ and Out of Patients enough!

Out of Patients Rocks!

Matthew Zachary's personalized interviews with his guests reveals his struggles as a cancer survivor and someone who learned how to navigate the health care system through trial & error. He discusses topics like fertility, the healthcare system, medical breakthroughs and numerous other subjects with intelligence, truth and devotion to honesty. I highly recommend his podcast for people concerned about the healthcare system in general and for his great insights and sense of humor. He makes every guest feel like they know him forever and is a terrific host.
